Our mission:
to educate and enlighten people through the natural interaction with horses.
Our goal:
to create a compassionate and non-judgmental space where the horses and humans can interact and learn from each other.
What is Natural Equine Interactive Growth and Healing (NEIGH)?
Natural Equine Interactive Growth and Healing combines fundamental principles of Natural Horsemanship with ancient yoga philosophies, indigenous wisdom, somatic awareness, mindfulness practices, exercises, intuition, breathwork, and creative activities. This integration of mind, body, breath, and spirit encourages individuals to achieve a more centered, clear, and peaceful state of being by embracing their inner guidance system. A typical session may involve practicing mindful meditation and breathing exercises, spending time in nature, observing horses, establishing connections with purpose and intention, overcoming obstacles, and fostering a deep bond through liberty and groundwork activities.

About us:
The Healing Equine Ranch, founded in 2007 by Kiki Ebsen, is a nonprofit organization located in the Santa Monica mountains of California. The ranch offers exceptional experiential learning for individuals with a passion for nature and horses. By interacting with horses and land, participants can benefit from slowing down in today's fast-paced world and listening to their inner voice. Customized programs cater to those new to horse experiences or looking to overcome past negative encounters. Through engaging exercises, individuals can cultivate mindfulness, presence in the moment, and energy awareness, ultimately gaining confidence and overcoming fear in all aspects of life.
Understanding the delicate balance between mental, physical, and emotional states is crucial for fostering productive relationships. Participants in the ranch's programs quickly notice positive changes in their lives, such as increased happiness, a healthier state of mind, and a more confident approach to problem-solving. The programs are popular among various groups, including families, couples, school programs, and workplace teams. Tailored tools, tasks, and challenges are provided to help individuals effectively partner with the horses. The ranch supplies the horses, and prior experience is not necessary. More about Kiki Ebsen
Kiki's lifelong passion for horses began at a very young age, even before she could walk. Winning the title of Stock Seat Champion title at just 13 years old marked the culmination of a remarkable journey in the world of western pleasure, equitation, trail, and stock horses. Despite pursuing a BFA in Music from The California Institute of the Arts and being recognized as College Entertainer of the Year in 1986, Kiki never strayed far from her love for horses.
Over the years, Kiki delved into various disciplines such as dressage and three-day eventing, but it was natural horsemanship that truly resonated with her. Her dedication to these majestic animals led her to rescue numerous horses, forming a close-knit family with them. Each horse played a unique role in Kiki's personal growth, serving as mirrors for her strengths and weaknesses.
With over sixty years of experience living with horses, Kiki's journey eventually led her to establish Natural Equine Interactive Growth and Healing (NEIGH). This innovative approach combines her deep understanding of horses with the ancient philosophies of yoga, creating a space for genuine connection and mutual understanding between humans and horses. Through NEIGH, Kiki aims to guide others towards a deeper connection with themselves and the world around them, emphasizing the importance of being present and honoring the unique qualities of each individual, whether human or horse.
